Despite social distancing, the Inkwell team is excited to continue our work, even spread out across the globe. Our third issue, “Uprising,” will be released next Friday!

Uprising: an insurrection or revolt; an act of rising up; an ascent or acclivity.

To find the true glory in uprising is the act of staying true to your convictions, whether you win or lose, whether you live or die. Our team has been looking forward to this theme for a long time. We hope this issue gives you hope to fight on, especially in these difficult times. We want to glory in the simple acts of uprising and find inspiration from those who perform them. Enjoy literature that show the honor of martyrdom, the inspiration of the people who stand on the soap box, and the glory of the cause, not the battle.

To give you a taste of what’s to come, here’s a sneak peak at Meredith Thomas’ poem, “Coup D'état.” We hope you enjoy! Send us your revolutionary, resurrecting fiction to submissions@inkwell.com, and be on the lookout for our next issue.
