Greetings, Inkwell readers! We hope you all have had a wonderful summer—we certainly enjoyed our break! But as we bid the summer adieu, we welcome the fall with our first issue of the semester, “Disturbance.”

Merriam-Webster defines a disturbance as “an interruption of a state of peace, quiet, or calm.” While this may seem like an ominous way to kickstart the semester, it’s no secret that life is full of disturbances. We may not initially like or understand the changes and challenges that come our way. However, we can confidently face each new day and all it brings because we know that, in the end, God works everything together for our good. And so, rather than living in fear of these disturbances, we tackle them head-on.

We’re excited to share our writers’ individual interpretations of disturbance with you this month. The full issue will be released September 22, but be sure to check back on September 15 for a sneak peek!
