In the hearth—so amazing!
Hear the branches cracking,
Popping and snapping;
Watch the flames dancing,
Wildly enhancing,
Bending, twisting, turning,
While their dancing floor is burning!
Feel heat emanating
From their hearts glowing,
Fervent and flowing,
Furious, enthralling!
Watch their dancing quicken,
Their wild steps and bending.
Their floor is fiercely glowing,
And cracking 'neath their twirling.
Watch them slowly dying,
Dancing as their souls are flying;
And once the flames are gone away,
The floor still glows in memory!
