Our schedules and finals may be frightful, but this issue of Inkwell Literary Magazine is surely delightful. As our staff is finishing the fall semester here at Bob Jones University, we are looking forward to the holidays at home; what could be a more fitting theme for our fourth issue than Hearth?
Hearth: the floor of a fireplace, often used as a symbol of home.
Our writers have explored this realm of Hestia to find what hearth and home is to each of us. Whether we’re far from the flames and remembering a past warmth or wondering what it will take to draw us back before the fire after we’ve been burned, we hope these pieces remind you of the importance of having a place you call home. May we never take such places for granted, and may we remember that for those of us who are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus, this world is not our final home. How joyous it is that He is preparing a place for us in His house.
