It has been a crazy but fantastic start to our semester, and our writers are already working on our first issue. We are now also officially open for submissions from all BJU students, faculty, staff, and alumni!
In honor of the beginning of our school year and our ongoing prayers to finish the semester in person, our first theme is Quests.
Quests: A search or pursuit made in order to find or obtain something.
We want you to explore what it means to go on a quest – to search for something with all you are. Whether it be to discover a secret or retrieve an item, to learn something about yourself or to learn how to be someone new, we want you to focus on the beauty of the journey as well as the richness of reward. Tell us about your personal quests through your nonfiction, define quests and their importance in poetry, or take us on an adventure with your short stories – realistic or fantastical.
We look forward to seeing your writing on what is worth searching for and pursuing. Check out our submissions guidelines and send your work to submissions@inkwellmagazine.com. Submissions close on September 4th.
“One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.” Psalms 27:4 KJV
