Hello, Inkwell readers! For our second publication of the semester, we’re delighted to give you a glimpse of our next issue, “Dazed,” through Olivia Best’s poem “Oracle.”

Clarity of mind can be elusive at times, especially when our attention is consistently captive elsewhere. We may find ourselves looped into a cycle of distraction, shocked by unexpected events, or disoriented in a mental fog. Olivia’s poem explores what it feels like to forget the physical in a rush of addictive dopamine pulling our gaze away from what is real.
