Hello, Inkwell readers! As we launch into this semester, we are thrilled to give a peek at next week's issue “Whimsy” through "When Writing Wanders" by Joy Hast.

The whimsical is often unpredictable and sudden. You may decide to take a trip on a whim or try something new and exciting just to prove to yourself that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to. Joy’s poem takes us through a kaleidoscope of the experiences that reading can immerse you in, capturing whirling glimpses of still beauty and the breathless feelings of adventure. Whatever your dreams are, we hope you enjoy the journey, savoring every moment.

We hope you enjoy Joy’s poem and check back, January 31st, for the full issue of "Whimsy."
