Today may be April Fools' Day, but Inkwell Literary Magazine is truly presenting a preview of our next issue, Balance! We're so excited for this new issue. Our writers have been working hard on Balance, and the editors at Inkwell are so proud to see the growth of our staff in their respective talents.

So, it seems only fitting that we should highlight a writer who has been with us since the beginning: Emily McCullough. Emily is a senior graduating this semester, and her poem "Finish Line" celebrates this achievement. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Finish Line
Spectators wish I would stay forever Steadfast, because I’ve always been Here doing what I’m told. Not just to be Prodded, but Lauded: Like a derby, Circling for the gold, I reach for the goal, for the win, To accomplish this, my greatest endeavor.

Be sure to look out for the full issue next Friday on our website!
