I sought the Lord, and He found me.
How can I fear the rain?
My foundation is secure.
No lightning can pierce these walls,
And the thunder cannot hurt me.
These days of turmoil cannot last.
I only hope they will soon be past.
What else can entice me?
Nothing I see will satisfy.
My life, I find within Your Word,
And there, I am content.
Forgive me, Lord, when I look away from You.
Don’t let my feet be pulled astray.
Where else can I go, but to You?
Every turn I take, You are there.
Comfort me, my Savior.
I am safe within Your loving embrace.
I hear Your voice gently speak,
“Weather through the storm with me.”
