Welcome, Inkwell readers! We’re happy to present you with our final issue of the semester, “Lucid.”

Lucid: “suffused with light, having one’s full faculties, or clear to the understanding” (Merriam-Webster).

Do you remember a moment of realization that you felt full mental clarity and physical presence? In this issue, our writers gaze into different perspectives and facets of what lucidity feels like, looks like, and means.

Lucidity appears in our lives within the cycle of light and dark, waking and sleeping that we follow each day, night, and year. The moment the sun first breaks over the horizon, the feeling of that first deep breath on a cool morning—these things remind us what it feels like to be lucid, fully present and alive.

We hope you enjoy “Lucid”! A PDF copy is available here.
