We at Inkwell Literary Magazine are proud to present our seventh issue of this year, “Escapism.”
Escapism: habitual diversion of the mind to purely imaginative activity or entertainment as an escape from reality or routine.
From dreams of crocodiles to finding a hiding place in a cruise ship, we hope this issue shows not only the beauty and joy escaping can bring, but also the dangers of forever running from reality. In addition to our usual short stories, creative nonfiction, and poetry, this issue features the exciting conclusion to one of our serials, “In the Dark” by Isabella Skellenger.
As we come to the end of the semester, remember that escape is just around the corner – summer! But even though we are all ready for that long-awaited break, may this issue remind you to hold fast to God in the waiting before He provides that escape.

"No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation He will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." - 1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV
