Volume VI, Issue 3: Forge
Hello again, Inkwell readers! In our last two issues, we have covered earth and wind through "Drought" and "Flurry." With only two elements left for the semester, we are proud to present the third element, fire. Our writers worked diligently to bring you their interpretation of flames through "Forge."
Forge: make or shape (a metal object) by heating it in a fire or furnace and beating or hammering it; to create a new relationship.
Fire can bring complete destruction, but it also purifies. Trials in our lives weigh us down and sometimes destroy our trust. However, these trials are used to sanctify us– make us more like our Creator. Our Blacksmith uses these flames to purify us and strengthen us. But "Forge" not only speaks of fire, but also highlights new relationships we create on our journey. Our lives are a path meant to be shared. Wherever you are on your path through life, we hope these pieces speak to you.
We hope you enjoy “Forge.” A PDF copy is available here.
