Volume III, Issue 1: Hubris

Greetings! We at Inkwell Literary Magazine are delighted to present our first issue of the 2021-22 academic school year. Whether you are a regular reader or are just discovering Inkwell for the first time, we can’t wait to share our work with you. We’ve seen God do amazing things through our organization. As we enter our third year of publication, we want to make sure that we are giving Him all the honor and glory for everything He has done and how He has brought our team together. We know that He who has begun a good work is going to see it through, so we look forward to seeing Him work this year.

To kick off Volume III, Inkwell Literary Magazine is proud to present, “Hubris.”

Hubris: exaggerated pride or self-confidence.

We hope you enjoy our writers’ interpretations of the dangers of pride and the long, subsequent fall. Find the meaning of charm with long-term writer Kathleen Coyle’s short story or pray for humility as you start a new phase of life with one of our new poets, Vivian Waite. Whatever your literary tastes, we hope you’ll find a new favorite piece in this issue and keep coming back for more.

Read our issue on our website or download a PDF copy of it here.

“But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” - James 4:6 NIV
