Volume II, Issue 6: Assumptions
Inkwell Literary Magazine is proud to present our sixth issue of the 2020-2021 school year, "Assumptions." This issue comes after the one year anniversary of our very first issue, "Reversal," which was released February 21, 2020. It's been quite a year for our writers and for our school. Little did we know that after releasing "Reversal," the entire world would face a reversal of fortunes due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now as we look back on how the world has changed, we realize we've been initiated into a new age, a new generation that will see the world in a completely new light. We've learned the dangers of looking at everything through the same old lens, and we're ready to face this new age wary of our previous assumptions.
Assumptions: a thing that is accepted as true or as certain to happen, without proof.
From murder mysteries to first impressions, we hope this issue reminds you that jumping to conclusions can have unexpected results. May you be inspired to look past your first glance, to set aside your first judgement, and never trust in assumptions.
