the tears trickle out of my eyes

unbidden, unwanted, and not understood.
the doctor tells me the pills will help.
the tears finally stop

i can see again.
i can breathe again.
i can just be.
mom reminds me to take my medicine.
i shake the blindingly tangerine bottle and the capsules spill out

emotions stuffed where the pills used to be, never seen again.
