Modern Ruins
The carpet is complicated
So many colors and patterns replicated
Never in the same places, relocated
The walls are so bright now
Leaves my mind asking why, not how
To current trends people bow
Nothing is the same shape anymore
Rooms, tables, couches, and chairs
Shelves, windows, ceilings, even stairs
It used to all be so simple,
Black and white
But chaos made the colors boom
So much day, and not enough night
