At Rest
Haven Visser
We whirl amidst infinity
Through universes, twirl
And something in us longs
To seek out safety in this world
But nature here is tainted
These souls so full of greed
What harbor can we turn to
When we feel such endless need?
The hands that carved our essence
Promise refuge from life's pain
And they'll knit us back together
When we fall apart again
Though suffering is certain
And we often miss what's true
The One who made the Milky Way
Prepared a place for you
Before the worlds were ever spun
Our yearning was addressed
Now, nestled among ancient suns
Star-sailor, be at rest
